Today I wanted to pose questions that the guys wanted to know the answer too. It seems that this questions as always needed to be addressed and what better way that to ask it straight out.
Why do women like the "thug types" versus the "good guy types"?

I believe that every woman goes through that thug phase. In the beginning, it is something fun and exciting. Similar to living on the wildside for a bit. I think thugs bring that false sense of security and roughness that women are drawn to initially. And to be real, sex with a thug can be quite the experience. No disrespect to the nice guys but it is true. But what many fail to realize is that you cannot pick and choose what characteristics you want from a thug. Most are thugs through and through. If he does dirt in the streets, he will do it to you. If he is very aggressive and violent in the streets, he will bring bring it home too. For most mature women, they grow out of the thug phase because they are seeking more in life. Give me a nice guy anyday.
I think women like both but especially a man with balance.
Every woman wants a man with some "edge" on him.
That's why women like the biker boys.
You have Alpha males that get a woman's juices flowing and then you have Beta males that give a woman the security and comfort she needs emotionally, financially and mentally.
Balance is the key.
A man can be both but most tend to lean to one extreme or the other.
Women don't like wussies.
Personally, I never liked thugs. I have always like educated smart men who understood how the streets worked but he was out there hustling on it. I prefer to date men who graduated from college, clean cut (no braids, yuck).
So in all honesty it would be hard for me to answer this question because I have never liked the "thug" type. I prefer Kanye over 50.............lol
And let me add, just because a man went to college does not mean he can't be a thug, hence "Stringer Bell" characters. I just never was in to the persona of a thug which is gun toting, pants sagging, weed smoking, drug selling Type fellow.........is a no for me!

It was a phase just to see what I would look like with them. Once they grew out to a certain point went back to the look of professional world wants and expect.
One who is speaking on had braids but FAR from a thug.

I don't look like a thug (I think)but at times the hood comes out of me but I know when to put it in check.
Wit women you gotta know when to hold them and when to fold them...you catch my drift.

lol that's right! where ARE the complaining women? We all know there is a surplus of them. Women really don't know what they want.
They want someone who can be sensitive, someone who can be a provider, someone who can beat the brakes off that "boneless cat" one night and make sweet love the next.

When I read Tae post I said this is a fellow who never really experience love and he does not know how to want or desire anything other than sexual fantasies with the women he comes in contact with. It's sad because they are plenty of women that could be carbon copies of each other, usually guys with low self esteem go for the woman with no sense of reality because they know they would have to put in real work to stay with a virtuous woman, a woman with standards and principles.
Does ever man want the same qualities as Tae wants in a woman?
wow, i really was playing devil's advocate and being silly with a little truth thrown in there but that's where some of you women have it twisted...men really just don't require as much to deal with women.
You can say that we should want someone with substance because beauty will fade, but in reality we give a lot less of a shyt than you do about how 1, intelligent, 2,funny,or 3ambitious a woman is. Not to say that it doesnt matter at all but not as much as it does to you because 1, I can think for myself, 2, I can turn on the TV and get laughter from dave chappelle for example, and I make my own money.
Humans are the only species where opposite sexes relate on levels besides the instinctual dispositon to reproduce. The female human is the farthest removed from this innate blueprint. The only reason we relate PERIOD is because yall control 100% of the puss! Women would be in serious danger of becoming extinct if scientists could engineer something just like what you have.
This is relevant to the topic because women NEED to have various synapses and neurons triggered in order for certain things to occur and that occurence is required for another event to take place and so on.
For example, most women want a "thug type" to be emotionally stimulated because of proximity of the threat of danger. Danger raises adrenaline levels, raised adrenaline levels increase the heart rate, increased heart rate increases blood pressure EVERYWHERE blood flows in the body including breast tissue, clitoral tissue, skin tissue, etc.
All we need is to like to look at you!

#1 Condi Rice-well educated, highly ambitious, well-spoken, and does well financially
#2 Vida Guerra-high school, maybe some college, appears in every men's magazine in existence, flawless skin, owner of arguable the most perfect T&A known to man, not sure if anyone has heard her say more than 5 words at a time.
Who do you think has her pick of men in any demographic? (rhetoric)
Women are the ONLY beings that take EVERYTHING and dissect, cross reference, card catalog, and analyze it. FOR NO REASON!

Take a look at the former gov of NY, he had the life most folks could only dream of: heir to a family fortune worth half a billion dollars, high achieving children, live at one of the best addresses on 5th ave, and was an ivy league educated attorney married to a woman with a similar background: attorney, well spoken, from a "good" family, yadda yadda yadda.
It would be safe to say he wasn't attracted to wifey anymore and grew tired looking at 50 yr old slouchy cooch and went out and paid TOP DOLLAR for some 22yr old cooch! Of course he made the mistake of the century, but that further substantiates my argument.
And last time I checked this was confessions of SINGLE black women, about which I'm not surprised :(

first of all "anonymous" it isn't about you finding someone to do things for you because you can't do them for yourself it is about finding someone or spending time with someone that compliments. And if you can do all that by yourself I am sure there are other things you can do "Solo" as well......if truth be told.
No one is saying that you need us to do anything for you but can we say "companionship" it is like this you have a network of friends are they not similiar in some way that makes you want to hang out with them and that you all have similiar interests, likes and dislikes. Sorry but none of you single black women are qualified enough to give me your opinion about what my experiences have been. All you have contributed were merely unfounded rants. And so someone disagrees with some of this female BS and they're uneducated? WoWWW!
I've been in several fulfilling relationships in my 31 years that were good while they lasted but had run their course.
Why women like thugs vs the good guys isn't really about your choice, but instead it's about the choice which one of those types chose to deal with you...we are the ones who select our mates, and mates doesn't necessarily = wife or monogamous partner.
Saying that attributes matter such as good personality, sensitivity, and brains is some female human fabricated crap. Men just DONT care about those things as much!
Whether you accept it or not, it's about natural selection, which I'm sure most of u women have no concept of this biological concept otherwise some of you'd have STFU a long time ago. Every living thing is genetically predisposed to wanna reproduce for starters. Males of any species seek out the best looking female with the best available physical attributes so that if their union produces offspring, the offspring has a better chance of surviving because of them being more physically appealing so they can continue to evolve the species.
Women are the only people that care about companionship and deep friendships and such. And the men that do care only care in order to gain a favorable connection with you in hopes of becoming intimate.
As far as cheating, why does a man have to be sick or twisted? I don't know a woman ALIVE who doesn't CHANGE her hair style at least once every other week. And that's just hair! It should be a piece of cake to have your hair styled the SAME EXACT way every time you go to the salon, but yall CANT! Because you want to switch it up and have some variety.
It's harder than YOU'll ever know to stay with a person who isn't the same as when you first got 'em.
